Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) is the state agency responsible for protecting, conserving, managing and developing Ireland’s inland fisheries and sea angling resources.
In CALM, IFI leads river restoration on the Glyde, working across Cavan, Monaghan and Louth to reduce nutrient loss, restore habitats and involve local communities through citizen science. Its focus is on practical, nature-based interventions that help rivers recover to good ecological status.
